Chased by bullies and suddenly finding herself in a twisted version of the town, she has to face some nightmarish creatures encapsulating her own fears and bad memories.ĭespite the cartoon presentation, it almost feels like Alan Wake (see the review), at least the way how you fight the creatures with light. So GYLT fits right in with young girl Sally who investigates the disappearance of her cousin Emily in the old mining town of Bethelwood. Geltwood was an iron-hulled barque that was shipwrecked on or about 14 June 1876 during a storm on a remote stretch of the south east coast of South Australia. GYLT takes about six hours to finish, though you’ll only need a fraction of that before you realize it’s a very familiar kind of game. The developer knows how to do visually striking games that are also unique with their settings (as could be seen in RiME (see the game release news) or the VR title Groundhog Day: Like Father, Like Sun (unfortunately not available on GOG, but which can be checked out on the company’s website). Tequila Works‘s creepy action-adventure game GYLT brings the eeriness to GOG with a free music gift.
